This should be an exciting Monday night clash between two teams with playoff hopes this year. However, I think the Cubs boast a much better roster, so I’ll gladly take a flier on the +105 payout that comes with them. Chicago, despite losing two straight, is still the hotter team, going 4-2 over their last six games.
Furthermore, the Cubs have a decent edge in terms of offensive production. Chicago’s currently 13th in team batting average (.245) and 10th in OPS (.722), while New York is 17th (.243) and 15th (.704), respectively. Both pitchers have been equally impressive this season, which is basically a wash. All things considered, I agree that the line should be this tight, but I think the Cubs are the more well-rounded, deeper organization. Let’s back Chicago.
